The Challenge:

Quarry Motors, the UK’s leading independent BMW specialists, approached Searchflex with a clear problem: their site was held back by slow speed, poor usability, an outdated design, and a content strategy stuck in neutral.

The website was limited in scope, missing the opportunity to capitalise on its full ecommerce potential. It lacked a cohesive strategy to target and rank for high-intent search terms related to specific BMW and Mini parts, such as engines, transmissions, and other in-demand car parts.

Our Approach:

We approached Quarry Motors’ challenges with a mix of immediate improvements and a long-term SEO strategy. Collaborating with our design partners, we refreshed the website’s design to seamlessly integrate UX and SEO best practices. Pressing technical issues like slow loading speeds, poor performance, and unoptimised code were swiftly resolved to enhance usability and crawlability.

With stronger foundations in place, we developed an ROI-driven content strategy – existing pages were optimised for on-page SEO, targeting quick wins for terms they already ranked for. We then turned our attention towards new product and collection pages, focused on high-ticket items like engines and transmissions, to capture competitive search traffic for their most profitable parts.

The result? A lightning-fast, search-friendly website and a surge in parts flying off the shelves!

The Results:

Our partnership with Quarry Motors delivered exceptional growth, driving substantial improvements across key performance metrics. Organic traffic surged by 102%, with a staggering 360% increase in position 1–3 keywords and a 131% boost in overall keyword rankings.

These gains directly impacted online revenue figures, with engine enquiries increasing by 61% and overall part requests rising by 46%. The website’s performance also improved significantly, with a 29% increase in site conversion rates, ensuring more visitors turned into loyal customers.
